A Loop Habit Tracker alternative for iPhone and the web
Loop Habit Tracker is Android only. Crek is a free alternative that runs in any browser — iPhone, Android and desktop — with unlimited habits and streaks.
Updated
Loop Habit Tracker has a loyal following for good reason: it's free, open source, has no ads, and works entirely on your phone. The one thing it can't do is leave Android. If you've moved to an iPhone, want your habits on a laptop too, or you're trying to track habits with someone who isn't on Android, Loop can't come with you.
Why people look for a Loop alternative
- There's no iPhone version. Loop is on Google Play and F-Droid, and that's it. "Loop habit tracker for iPhone" is a frequent search, and it doesn't exist.
- Switching phones. Moving from Android to iOS means leaving Loop behind.
- No computer version. Loop lives on your phone. If you'd like to tick off habits from a desktop too, it doesn't reach there.
- Everything is on one device. That's a privacy feature — and also means nothing syncs to a second device.
What Loop does well
Loop is excellent, and it's worth saying why.
- Free, properly. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription, and open source under GPLv3.
- Private and offline. No account and no internet needed — your data stays on your phone.
- A smarter score than a streak. Loop's habit strength formula means a few missed days after a long run don't wipe out your progress.
- Reminders and widgets. Set reminders at the times you choose and tick habits off from your home screen.
- Your data is yours. Export to CSV or SQLite whenever you like.
- No artificial limits. Track as many habits as you want, on flexible schedules.
If you're staying on Android and you don't need your habits anywhere else, keep using Loop.

Crek as a Loop alternative
Crek is a free habit tracker that runs in any browser — so it's the same on an iPhone, an Android phone and a laptop.
- Every device, one set of habits. Sign in with Google and your habits and streaks are on your phone and your computer. Nothing to install; you can add it to your home screen from the browser.
- Free, with unlimited habits. Like Loop, there's nothing to buy and no limit on habits.
- Try it with no account. The tracker at /habit-tracker works straight away and keeps your habits in the browser — close to Loop's no-account spirit. Sign in only when you want them on more than one device, and everything you tracked comes with you.
- Schedules that don't punish rest days. A habit can repeat every day, on chosen weekdays, or once a month, and its streak only counts the days it was due.
- Fill in the days you forgot, up to a year back, from the habit's calendar.
- Each habit's numbers: current and best streak, completion rate and a calendar.
- A to-do list and notes beside your habits.
Where Loop is ahead: it works offline, keeps everything on your device, has reminders and widgets, exports to CSV and SQLite, and its habit strength score is more forgiving than a plain streak. Crek doesn't work offline and has no reminders or widgets yet — its strength is being on every device.
Other alternatives worth a look
- Streaks — if you've moved to an iPhone and want a native app, Streaks is a well-designed one-off purchase with Apple Health and Apple Watch support. It's Apple-only; see Streaks alternatives.
- A spreadsheet — if you liked exporting Loop's data to a spreadsheet, you might like tracking there directly: the free Google Sheets and Excel template counts each habit's days done.
- Paper — a printable habit tracker is as offline and private as it gets.
How to switch from Loop
Crek doesn't import Loop's backup or CSV, so you'll set your habits up again.
- Export from Loop first (CSV), so you have your full history kept somewhere safe.
- Add your habits to Crek with the days they're due — start at /habit-tracker, then sign in for weekday and monthly schedules and syncing.
- Carry recent history across by tapping past days on each habit's calendar, up to a year back. The last few weeks are usually enough to keep a streak going.
- Keep the CSV as your long-term record.
If you're starting a habit fresh on the new phone, how to build a habit that actually sticks is a good place to begin.

Questions
Is Loop Habit Tracker available on iPhone?
No. Loop Habit Tracker is an Android app, available on Google Play and F-Droid, with no iOS version. On an iPhone you need a different tracker — Crek runs in Safari or any other browser, for free.
Is there a free habit tracker like Loop that works on iPhone and Android?
Crek is free with unlimited habits and works in the browser on iPhone, Android and desktop, so the same habits and streaks are on every device once you sign in.
Can I import my Loop data into Crek?
Not automatically. Loop can export CSV, but Crek has no importer. You add your habits again and can mark past days by hand, up to a year back.
Does Crek work offline like Loop?
No. Crek is a website and needs a connection, while Loop runs entirely on your phone. If working offline matters most and you're on Android, Loop is the better choice.
